Mahmut Şevket Paşa Village
The village, that once accommodated our Greek citizens, was formerly in the location called Gültepe. These Greeks then migrated near an Albanian who was gardening in the land of the current village. People started calling the village “Arnavutköy” (Albanian Village). The present inhabitants of the village are the exchanged people from Salonica and Drama. In old times, people came to the village to buy its very famous string beans. Vegetable gardening is still a prominent activity in the village. The delicious organic fruits and vegetables grown and sold on the roads by the locals attract the attention of the visitors.
